There was fierce competition at the top of the pack in this review, but at the end of the day, numbers don’t lie. Totalling the scores in each metric, the Stansport Outfitter Series 2-Burner stove landed on top, and rightfully so. This machine is a cooking beast, boasting 50,000 BTUs spread equally across two burners, it boils water very quickly. It also has a soft side, masterfully simmering our campsite bolognese sauce better than the rest. Windy conditions? The back and side panels block gusts of wind efficiently so you can keep on cooking with consistency, whether at sea level or high elevation. There’s plenty of cooking space for full-size pots and pans, while the grate design also allows for smaller cooking apparatus like a Moka pot. The super-sturdy grate lifts off for quick and easy cleaning, while setup is also a breeze. Put it all together, and this is a stellar compact stove that allows you to get more than a little fancy at your campsite.
