The Baladeo Locker, at first glance, is a great tool. The feature set is unique in that it has a corkscrew and included 1/4″ bits. No other tool we tested has these features. Only the Top Pick Leatherman Crunch has a 1/4″ bit driver, but no included bits. In years of use now we have generated our “wish list” of included attributes. We want a tool that has pliers, knife blade, scissors, and a 1/4″ bit driver. No tool has all of them, but a few have some. This model has all but the scissors, at a relatively reasonable price. However, the construction quality is lacking. The hinges rattle and the pliers flex unnervingly. When compared to the Best Buy Leatherman Wingman, a tool that also has three of the “big four” attributes we desire all at a lower price and greater quality, the Locker just doesn’t stack up. If the bit driver appeals enough, though, the Baladeo should be on your short list. Just understand the limitations.
