The Monte S-Alloy is one of several models of mountain bike saddles in Fi:zi’k’s range of accessories and equipment. It is billed as an enduro saddle, but tester’s found it be versatile and suitable for most disciplines of cycling. It is relatively comfortable, with a classic teardrop shape, a 143mm width, and a slightly cradled tip to tail profile. It scored well for its performance, with a stiff carbon-reinforced shell topped with medium density padding that doesn’t waste any of your energy during the pedal stroke. It has a durable construction with a Cordura reinforced tail and sturdy S-Alloy rails. It isn’t particularly lightweight, but it’s not unbearably heavy either. It’s a fine saddle, but in the end, it was bested by several other lighter and more comfortable competitors in this review.
