The Canyon Neuron CF 8.0 is a reasonably priced and user-friendly mid-travel trail bike that has a cross-country inspired performance. With 130mm of front and rear suspension and a moderate modern geometry, it hits the sweet spot for a large number of riders and terrain. This lightweight carbon bike has a lively and playful attitude and impressive climbing abilities. On the descents, it thrives on smooth trails, over small and mid-sized chop, and through tight and technical sections. The Neuron is not a brawler, however, and while it can make it down anything, aggressive riders will be better off looking at longer and slacker options. We had a blast testing the Neuron and feel that it’s an affordable and sensible trail bike that will suit many rider’s trails and tastes.
