This tire had a ton going in its favor, but durability issues kept it from really finding a home in our hearts. Angular knobs form a paddle across the center tread that ensure spin-free, romping pedal strokes out of the gate. With your skull-rattling inside your helmet, spot your turn, tap the brakes allowing the back of those paddles to dig in, and hang on through the corner. The wide center tread combined with the wavy side knob pattern made leaning the bike into corners a smooth affair. There was plenty of bite to the side knobs but they had a limit that is exacerbated by the tires balloonish casing. Once you got the feel, you knew when it was time to pull back on the reins and when you could push things further.
