It transforms from its spacious semi-rectangular single person shape into a luxurious two-person setup that feels like a real bed. Snuggling with your honey in this bag is fantastic and sleeping alone in two-person mode might be the most comfortable sleeping bag setup ever. If we were to have one sleeping bag for all outdoor activities including car camping, basecamping, and backpacking, we would choose the Penguin. At 43 oz (2.7 lb) it’s not the lightest bag available, but, for many people, we suspect the benefits of the Penguin’s comfort and versatility will outshine its moderate weight. The bag uses top-tier 850+ fill down (lots of it!!) and will last for a decade or more of outdoor adventures.
