The G3 stands out for its reverse cambered construction and amazing poor snow performance. It also stands out with the only durability issue we had in our test and for limited hard snow confidence. Overall, provided you get a set without construction issues, we like the G3 for powder and poor snow backcountry touring. For the weight, we didn’t review a better poor snow skier. Only the Editors’ Choice, and also fully rockered Volkl V-Werks BMT 94 skied bad snow as well as the Synapse.
