The Jones Nomad skins were most popular with the experienced splitboarders in our review. Winning a notable mention for their combination of gliding and climbing prowess, as well as their relative light weight and packability, they feature a nylon/mohair mix that increases glide significantly at the expense of a manageable amount of grip. This small reduction in climbing grip could be made up by good technique on the splitboarder’s behalf, hence being popular with experienced riders. These skins did require the most amount of installation time (in order to get ready for touring), costing points in the overall comparison.
