OneUp Components EDC Review

OneUp is known in the bike industry for their innovation and ingenuity, so it’s no surprise that their EDC multi-tool is one of the most unique products on the market. EDC is an acronym for Everyday Carry, and one of the most exciting aspects of its design is that it stores conveniently inside your fork’s steerer tube. Boasting 21 useful functions, this lightweight multi-tool system is one of the most feature packed on the market. OneUp has seemingly thought of everything, with all of the standard tools, plus a chain breaker, quick link separator, quick link storage, tire lever, CO2 storage, and a spare chainring bolt. Using this system does take a little getting used to, but it’s nice to get your tools off your back and to know that they are always on your bike. All of this convenience does come at a cost, however, as the EDC requires a special top cap ($25) and threading of your steerer tube ($35 for the DIY kit) making this the most expensive model in our test. That said, this is an impressive, well designed, and fully featured multi-tool that has earned our Top Pick for Innovation Award.
