One of three lumbar-style, “fanny”, packs in our test selection, we found the Osprey Talon 6 to be a great option for shorter length hikes and can double as a mountain bike pack from time to time. With six liters of storage capacity and only 40 oz of water capacity in the included water bottles, the Talon 6 is best suited to short forays in the woods. This pack is very lightweight, well ventilated, and is best suited to hiking or activities where your back is straight, as we found the Talon 6 to be somewhat uncomfortable on the waist when fully loaded and in mountain biking position.
