The Santa Cruz Chameleon R 29 is a fun-loving hardtail that is also quite capable of racking up some miles. We’ve tested this bike with both 29-inch wheels and 27.5+ wheels. The wagon-wheeled iteration is a little more business-minded and delivers a fairly well-rounded ride without sacrificing too many of its playful values. The 27.5+ model is a bit more fun through corners given its copious amounts traction with additional ride comfort due to the ability to run a significantly lower tire pressure.
