The Topeak JoeBlow Pro X is a great pump that is held back by some unusual design choices. It’s very tall and awkward to use, and it has smooth metal ovals for pump bases, eschewing the more successful tripod designs of other pumps. The SmartHead connects to either Presta or Schrader valves with no adjustment but can be a challenge to connect and tends to cause air loss. Overall, the pump is well made, the gauge is beautiful, clear, and accurate, the construction is sturdy, and the air hose is extra-long; however, we still prefer other pumps that get the job done better for a little less dough.
